As part of Catholic Education Week 2026, St. Gabriel intermediate students gathered in prayer and reflection, embracing this year’s theme, Pilgrims of Hope, through our shared journey of faith.
In a meaningful expression of this theme, students and their teachers took part in an 8 km round-trip walk to St. Joseph’s Parish, embodying the call to be pilgrims journeying together “On the Path of Holiness.” This physical journey became a powerful symbol of our spiritual one, as we walked in unity, faith, and hope.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Father Piotr Jurzyk of St. Joseph’s Parish for the warm welcome he has shown to our school. Although we are not directly connected to his parish, we are deeply grateful for his generosity in providing us with a meaningful and prayerful liturgy. His kindness and leadership helped guide us as pilgrims, strengthening our hope and deepening our sense of belonging within the wider Church community.
This experience reminded us that, as pilgrims of hope, we are called to walk together in faith, supporting one another and growing in God’s love.
Following the liturgy, Father was warmly invited to join our school community for a snack in the hall, where we continued our time of fellowship and celebration together.
